How to watch YouTube together online

Stop sending links to the group chat and watch them together instead. Open a private LofiCouch room, invite your friends and paste a YouTube link. It plays right in the room on any device, in exact frame-by-frame sync with voice and text chat, and no extension is needed.

Create and share the room

Sign in to LofiCouch and start a room, then send the code or link to your friends. A room fits up to four, including the host, and everyone signs in.

Add the video and check sound

Paste the link into your room. Say hi on voice chat before the main video and let the host lead playback. If you hear an echo, headphones or a lower video volume help.

For iPhone or Android setup and common playback prompts, follow the phone watch-together walkthrough.

Build a small queue

Take turns choosing, or pin a whole playlist or mix in one go and let autoplay keep the night rolling. A one-pick-each night gives everyone something to share.

If a video is unavailable

Check your internet connection and refresh the room. If it still won't play, the video may be limited to some regions, ages or accounts, or its owner may not allow it to play outside YouTube. Pick another one and keep going.

Still stuck? Email us your browser, device, video link and the message you saw, and we'll help. Keep account details and room codes out of public posts.
