About LofiCouch
LofiCouch is for anyone missing someone: partners, best friends and family living apart. Press play in a private room for up to four, watch in exact frame-by-frame sync and talk the whole way through, like you're sharing the same couch.
Hosting is free with no credit card, and so is the extension. Streaming subscriptions stay with each person.
Why we built LofiCouch
We’re a couple who have lived in different places for about a year. Movie nights were how we stayed close: a film, a call, and that feeling of being on the same couch with miles in between.
So one of us spent ten months building the room we wished we had. It’s private and cozy, playback stays together, and voice chat is built right in. We’ve since watched all of Naruto in it, plus more movies, series and anime than we can count.
What started as our own date night is now for anyone missing someone: best friends, partners and family living apart. We’re opening it to everyone on 1 November, our anniversary. Pull up a seat.

A simple way to spend time together
A film on a Friday, an episode before bed, a birthday video from Google Drive: a room turns any of them into time together. Everyone signs in, the host leads playback, and built-in voice and text chat keep the conversation right beside the show. Save your favorite rooms and pick nine cozy themes to set the mood.
How watching works
YouTube plays through an embedded player, and publicly shared, streamable Google Drive videos use LofiCouch's playback service, both on any device. On desktop, Netflix, Prime Video, JioHotstar and Crunchyroll play on their own websites, pinned to your room with the free extension.
Each person watches streaming services on their own account, so what you can watch is up to your provider and where you are. Here's what everyone needs.
